High Point — Case goods and occasional importer Magnussen Home Furnishings has enhanced its Web site with an extensive, detailed product catalog to help connect consumers with local dealers.
"Our market research has shown that a majority of consumers use the Web as a primary tool to shop for furniture and determine where to buy it," said Jeff Cook, president and chief executive officer.
The online catalog, he said, is the next step in the company's effort to establish a consumer brand known for product and service.
The Web site, www.Magnussen.com, provides complete, downloadable catalog pages for hundreds of current products, including dimensions and materials. Consumers can see occasional, home accent, bedroom and dining room furniture in casual contemporary, classic traditional, contemporary modern, country, rustic and transitional styles.
Shoppers type in their ZIP code to find the nearest Magnussen dealers and a list of product categories available at each store.
Cook said consumers who already own Magnussen furniture can find additional pieces of a group or seek new styles. "For retailers, it will be a delight to serve shoppers who walk into the store with printouts of the products they're planning to buy," he said.
