North Charleston, S.C. — Whitecraft Rattan has merged with its sister company, Cebu Imports, to form Whitecraft Inc., a resource for wicker and rattan for inside and outside the home.
Both companies are specialists in indoor and outdoor casual wicker and rattan furniture, manufactured in company-owned plants in the Philippines.
"The combined resources of these two great companies will revitalize the Whitecraft brand, and allow us to present to our retailers a comprehensive, well-merchandised assortment of natural and synthetic wicker and rattan," said Lou Rosebrock, who assumed leadership of both companies as president this summer.
The two divisions will operate as a single entity based here. At the High Point market, they will show together in the International Home Furnishings Center, space M-134.
The company says its offshore manufacturing facilities allow for direct-ship programs and quick response to changing market needs.
Whitecraft Inc. exhibited a color story and a black-and-white statement at the International Casual Furniture Market in Chicago in September.
