Las Vegas — Charlie Loudermilk, chairman and chief executive officer of Aaron Rents, won the International Furniture Rental Assn.'s highest honor at the trade group's annual meeting here.
Loudermilk received the Carl F. Barron Outstanding Achievement Award, which recognizes an individual who provides exemplary service and support to the furniture rental industry.
Barron, an industry pioneer who founded Cambridge, Mass.-based Putnam Furniture Rental, now a part of Cort, presented the award.
Loudermilk is one of the founders of IFRA. Atlanta-based Aaron's has more than 650 company-operated and franchised stores in 43 states and Puerto Rico, and is one of the largest players in both the rent-to-own and rent-to-rent markets.
