Denville, N.J. — A&R Interiors, an interior design firm and furnishings showroom here, has partnered with Habitat for Humanity in Morris, N.J., to help provide quality used furniture for local families.
The result of the partnership is the Furniture Alliance, a cooperative effort between A&R, its clients, furniture manufacturers and the public to help gather quality used furniture and decorative accessories for local families eligible for Habitat for Humanity housing.
"We're strongly committed to supporting the communities in which we do business," said A&R Interiors' co-owner Allyson Rich. "We're especially pleased to be working with the Morris affiliate of Habitat for Humanity which has accomplished so much for local families in desperate need of affordable housing."
In exchange for a furniture or accessories donation, participants will receive a voucher redeemable towards merchandise at A&R Interiors.
Donations must be gently used, hard-surface furniture, rugs and decorative accessories. No upholstery or bedding is accepted.
"By assisting our families with furnishing their homes, A&R is complementing our mission, providing a service to the community and giving good furniture a second life," said Julie McHugh, executive director of Morris Habitat for Humanity. "We look forward to a successful partnership."
