Hooker promotes Marlowe to worldwide sourcing post

Martinsville, Va. — Hooker Furniture has promoted Jerry M. Marlowe, who has been import operations manager, to the newly created position of director of worldwide sourcing.
He has been in charge of implementing the company's overseas quality assurance strategy, and established Hooker's Asian quality support team.
"Hooker's import quality under Jerry's leadership the last six-and-a-half years consistently has been among the finest in the industry," said Mike Spece, senior vice president, imports. "In his new position, Jerry will be streamlining processes that will make us even more customer-friendly and competitive, and he also will be able to work on more long-term projects."
Marlowe continues to report to Spece.
