Ferraguto joins Sherrill in new post

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, September 8, 2003

Dick Ferraguto has joined Sherrill Cos. as corporate vice president of merchandising and marketing, a new position at the company, which includes upholstery and occasional supplier Sherrill, CTH Sherrill Occasional and high-end case goods and accents supplier Theodore Alexander.

Ferraguto will work with all the Sherrill companies, as well as its designer showrooms. He reports to Buddy Sherrill, president.

A 21-year industry veteran, Ferraguto came to Sherrill from Hitchcock Furniture, where he was vice president and general manager since 1998. At Hitchcock, he was responsible for remerchandising the company's retail division and developing new product for its manufacturing division. During the same period, he also worked as a freelance designer and product developer for Creative Inds.

Until 1992, Ferraguto co-owned and operated retailer Fiorelli's Fine Home Furnishings in Connecticut. When the company was acquired by Wayside of Milford, he became general manager of Wayside's start-up Thomasville store division.

"Dick brings a full spectrum of skills from the drawing board to the retailer's floor," Sherrill said.
