Hanes promotes Montgomery to furniture market manager

Conover, N.C. — Industry supplier Hanes Inds. has named Marshall Montgomery furniture market manager for the United States. He replaces Richard D. Cunningham, who died in early August.
Montgomery joined Hanes, a division of Leggett & Platt, in 1976 as a sales manager. He was promoted to regional manager in 1980, and helped open the company's Pontotoc, Miss., office, where he has worked for the past 23 years.
He is relocating to Conover and will supervise the regional managers serving the furniture industry.
Hanes supplies woven and nonwoven construction material to the furniture, bedding and home furnishings industries.
