ASFD site has entry kit for Pinnacles

New London, N.C. — An entry kit for the 2003 Pinnacle Awards is available on the Web site of the American Society of Furniture Designers, which will present the awards in October.
Pinnacles are given to the year's top furniture designs in 15 product categories, as determined by a jury.
"With our new Web site and traveling exhibits, the furniture buying public is becoming increasingly aware of those designs of excellence," said Karl Felperin, ASFD Pinnacle chairman. "We plan on including pictures of the finalists in each category on our traveling exhibit to furniture stores all over the United States and Canada, which increases sales and exposure for manufacturers and designers."
The 2003 entry kit may be downloaded from www.afsd.com, or a free poster and entry form may be ordered by calling Christine Evans at (910) 576-1273 or e-mailing her at asfd@ac.net. Deadline for entries is Aug. 30.
Categories are formal dining, summer/casual furniture, casual dining, major collections, stationary upholstery, home lighting, home office, home entertainment centers, motion upholstery, occasional tables, bedroom, occasional storage, juvenile furniture, accessories and leather upholstery.
The winners and as many as three finalists in each category will be recognized at an ASFD event on Friday, Oct. 17, at the High Point market.
