Select Comfort
Minneapolis — Scott Peterson has been named senior vice president of human resources at specialty bedding retailer and manufacturer Select Comfort.
He worked at Pillsbury for 10 years, becoming vice president of human resources, before joining Lifetime Fitness in 2001 as senior vice president of human resources. Prior to joining Pillsbury, Peterson held human resources positions at Quaker Oats and Philip Morris.
Training
Myriad Software
San Diego — Three people have joined the training and client services departments at furniture retail technology company Myriad Software. The company said the hiring comes after the addition of two large multi-user furniture retailers and a number of midsized ones to its client roster.
Veteran trainer Patricia "Trish" Dawson and computer software trainer/support representative Linda Pellegrino have joined Myriad's training department. Michael Agrusso, who worked in several areas of the food and beverage industry, has joined as client services representative.
Dawson has been involved in both the computer industry and the furniture business in training, technical writing, curriculum development and business management. She was previously with American Home Furniture.
Pellegrino worked for Peregrine Systems, where she taught an inventory-based software product that contained accounting and contract modules.

Pennsylvania House
Lewisburg, Pa. — Full-line manufacturer Pennsylvania House has named industry veterans Susan Blackman and Cynthia Tesh to management positions.
Blackman, a design consultant who has been responsible for product and design direction at the Drexel Heritage, Lillian August and Beacon Hill showrooms, is now creative director for showroom design at Pennsylvania House.
Tesh has been named upholstery merchandise manager. Before joining Pennsylvania House, she spent a number of years in retail with Furniture-land South in High Point and at Atlanta-based Havertys.
Sales
Carolina Mattress Guild
Thomasville, N.C. — Ron Crouch has been named to the newly created position of national accounts manager at Carolina Mattress Guild. He reports to Neal Grigg, president.
Crouch is a 25-year furniture industry veteran who most recently worked at Royal Patina as executive vice president of sales and marketing. He previously was vice president of sales with Universal and Broyhill.
Polaris USA
New York — Italian leather upholstery maker Polaris USA has added two people to its sales team.
Scott Schultz will cover Illinois and Wisconsin. Corey Marozzo handles upstate New York and the area from Windsor to Ontario, Canada.
Both report to senior sales consultant Gary Carmel.
