Magnussen taps Cressman

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, July 5, 2004

Nathan Cressman has been promoted to director of merchandising, a newly created position, at importer Magnussen Home Furnishings.

He joined Magnussen Home in 1996 as international quality control manager and had been product development manager since 2000, first at the company's Cebu, Philippines, office and then in High Point since 2001.

He reports to Richard Olmeda, senior vice president. Product managers for case goods, occasional and home accent furniture will now report to Cressman.

"For the past six months, under the guidance of Richard Olmeda, Nathan not only managed his regular responsibilities, but took on a leading role in the development of all product categories," said Jeff Cook, Magnussen Home president and CEO. "The new collections received stellar reviews from customers at the April market, and a tremendous amount of our success can be directly attributed to Nathan."
