IFDA chapter hosts hospitality space

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 31, 2003

The Carolinas Chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Assn. is hosting a hospitality space for IFDA members, guests and friends during the April market.

Located in space 140 of the 200 Steele building at 200 Steele St., the facility will be open April 2–6, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

An IFDA member breakfast will be held in the space on Sunday morning from 8:30 to 10 a.m.

"We wanted to offer the many IFDA members from all over the country who attend the High Point show a place where they could relax, network and compare notes about what they are seeing at market," said Susan Connor, Carolinas Chapter president. "We also invite anyone interested in learning more about IFDA to stop by for information about the organization and the benefits of membership."

The Carolinas Chapter also is co-sponsoring, with the International Home Furnishings Center, two designer-focused market luncheons.

On Friday, April 4, Chris Madden will present "A Designer's Journey Continues: From Oprah's Grounding Room to a Vermont Hideaway." On Saturday, April 5, Susan Sargent will discuss "The Comfort of Color." For reservations, call Gaye McGraw at (336) 888-3754.
