High Point — Laurence Crink Jr. has joined leather upholstery manufacturer DeCoro as executive vice president of sales for North America.
Crink previously was vice president of fabric upholstery producer Mike Cims for seven years. Before that, he was associated with retailers Fedco Home Stores, RB Furniture and W&J Sloane.
At DeCoro, Crink is responsible for all sales, marketing and merchandising in the United States and Canada.
He reports to Luca Ricci, president of DeCoro.
"I am very happy to have Larry in our organization," Ricci said. "In a company that has grown so fast, we need someone with experience, who will work hard for the company and is organized. Larry has all these qualities."
Crink said, "I am honored to be joining Luca's organization. He is re-energizing the production of quality furniture with tasteful styles and decent prices.
"I have never seen as much enthusiastic response as this company has been getting from all parts of the world," he continued.
"Now that DeCoro's new factory has been completed, furniture deliveries should take less than 10 weeks," Crink said. "That should make my job a lot easier because my customers demand reliable and dependable service."
Crink has relocated to High Point from California.
Joan Tremlett remains director of DeCoro's North American operations.
