Calif. group holding golf classic

Montebello, Calif. — The Home Furnishings Representatives Guild of Southern California will host its 2003 Spring Golf Classic at the Montebello Golf Club here May 5.

The check-in time is 9:30 a.m., and there will be a four-man scramble with a shotgun start at 11 a.m.

The tournament will honor Lawrance Contemporary Home Furnishings as Retailer of the Year and Mallin Casual Furniture as Manufacturer of the Year.

Proceeds of the tournament will go to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles.
