TIP show space reservations up 30%

Hertfordshire, England — Organizers of TIP 2003 in Brussels, Belgium, report major increases in space commitments for the Sept. 5–8 home fabrics show.
As of the beginning of February, Trade Link Company here said over 30% more space had been reserved than for the total show in 2002.
"We see this growth as a reflection of what is happening in the market," said Bill Davis, managing director. "Through its 11-year history, TIP always has been the alternative route to the European market in September. With increasing volumes of material now purchased from outside Europe, the show is developing a niche as the shop window for areas where business is really happening."
Increased numbers of Brazilian, Chinese and Turkish producers have booked for this year, he said, bringing innovative materials to the market for the first time.
"The consumer buys co-ordination these days — decorating the whole room," Davis said. "We see it as important to offer the complete range of fabrics, and the indications are the positioning of the show is right. We will continue to offer all manufacturers from across the globe a cost-effective route to market."
TIP 2003 will take place at the Brussels Kart Expo Exhibition Centre. The show has a Web site at www.tipexpo.com.
