Wagner Foundation sets May 3 fundraiser
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 31, 2003
High Point — The Harry Wagner Foundation, honoring a former industry executive who died of leukemia, will hold a fundraiser on Saturday, May 3, at the High Point Moose Lodge.
The tickets are $50 each and include dinner, dancing, door prizes, a silent auction and a casino night.
On Saturday, May 17, the foundation also will sponsor a bloodmobile and bone marrow screening clinic at the High Point YMCA. The Harry Wagner Foundation recently donated $30,000 to the YMCA and, in turn, the YMCA dedicated The Harry Ray Wagner teen center in his memory.
The Harry Wagner Foundation was founded in 2001 after Wagner died of acute myeloid leukemia at the age of 52. Wagner was the former vice president of Concept Plastics and the former president of Willow Creek Collections and its parent company, Foam Tech. The foundation was created to sponsor blood and bone marrow screening drives and to support other local charities.
For more information, or to donate items to the fundraiser, call Jim Gibson at (336) 883-4444 or (800) 247-5460.
