Chemical Coatings partners with China firm

Hickory, N.C. — Chemical Coatings Inc., a manufacturer of high-end coatings for furniture and other wood manufacturers here, has reached an agreement to provide its products to furniture makers in China through a Chinese partner, Berlin Scientific.
Chemical Coatings is part of the RPM Wood Finishes Group.
"This new agreement gives Chemical Coatings the capability to utilize its recognized color styling expertise to develop coatings for manufacturers in the United States and deliver the same quality and consistency in product and service in both the U.S. and China," said Gary Shore, vice president and general manager of Chemical Coatings.
Berlin Scientific, which recently completed construction of new production facilities in China's Guangdong province, has 20 years experience in coatings and has twice received Taiwan's National Quality Award for operations there.
"We are fortunate to find a partner who has the same principles and focus on quality and service that have served Chemical Coatings well in this industry since 1975," said Ronnie Holman, president of RPM Wood Finishes Group.
