Somerset, N.J. — Motion furniture manufacturer Ekornes has earned an American Chiropractic Assn. endorsement for its signature line of Stressless reclining chairs.
Ekornes officials said this is the first time the ACA has put its stamp of approval on a reclining chair.
"With health and well-being becoming primary in a consumer's mind when buying home and office furniture, the ACA's endorsement is testament to the quality and support for which Ekornes and Stressless are known," said Kevin McGuinnes, president of Ekornes USA.
Stressless recliners, which typically retail for $799 to $2,199, feature a patented system that allows body weight to determine the proper level of support.
The company, based in Norway, is the largest producer of sofas and chairs in Scandinavia.
