Woodworking expo to add upholstery
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 31, 2003
Claremont, N.C. — Next year's Carolinas Industrial Woodworking Expo in Greensboro, N.C., will venture into the other side — upholstery.
Show organizer TSI said the 2004 event, set for Feb. 19-20 in the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, will be expanded with a new Upholstery Pavilion. Through a partnership with Upholstery Design & Management magazine, the Pavilion will serve the furniture, upholstery, automotive, recreational vehicle and other textile-related industries.
Like the Woodworking Expo has done for 18 years, the Upholstery Pavilion will provide industry professionals with machinery, equipment and supply exhibitors, educational sessions and other valuable resources, said TSI President Keith Eidson.
"With the opening of the Upholstery Pavilion in 2004, North Carolina will have a serious forum for one of its most important industries," he said.
A series of seminars hosted by UDM magazine will be one of the event's highlights. The seminars will include business-boosting topics, topical forums and other educational sessions.
Claremont-based TSI produces regional shows in Greensboro; Grand Rapids, Mich.; St. Petersburg, Fla.; Hartford, Conn.; Philadelphia; Seattle; and Columbus, Ohio.
