2 European textile shows 'co-locating'
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 31, 2003
Hertfordshire, England — Two European textile shows, Comocreainterni and Scoperta, are "co-locating," a move show sponsors say will make it easier for buyers to develop new products.
Comocreainterni, a design show for home textiles, will occupy a dedicated pavilion within the Scoperta fabric show venue in Chiasso, Switzerland. Scoperta is set for May 6–9.
Previously, Comocreainterni has been held in a separate location near the Proposte fabric show venue at Villa Erba in Cernobbio, Italy. Proposte runs concurrently with Scoperta.
"We've felt for some time that design needs to be more closely associated with the manufacturer in the mind of the buyer," said Frank Rejtoe, vice president of Comocreainterni. "The co-location provides us with the perfect environment to communicate this message, and demonstrate the breadth and scope of design in home textiles to the international marketplace."
"Showing the latest trends in design alongside Scoperta adds a new creative dimension to the show," said Bill Davis, managing director of Scoperta. "With time pressures on every buyer, this initiative offers an ideal mix of innovation and creativity alongside the materials suppliers, ensuring buyers they gain the maximum from their visit."
Shuttle buses will run from Chiasso to Cernobbio and back throughout the fabric shows.
