Alters new Kingsdown sales VP

Mebane, N.C. — Responding to ongoing growth, bedding maker Kingsdown is restructuring its U.S. sales force and adding a vice president of sales.

Marc Alters is vice president of sales for the North Central territory. He will manage Kingsdown's sales force in Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania and western New York.

He reports to Pat Flippin, president and chief operating officer.

With over 30 years experience in the industry, Alters joins Kingsdown from case goods resource Samuel Lawrence, where he served as vice president of sales for five years. Prior to that, he held sales posts at Spring Air and Michael Howard Furniture Co.
