Wilson named sales VP at Stanley
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 13, 2003
Stanleytown, Va. — Steve Wilson has joined case goods manufacturer and importer Stanley Furniture as vice president of sales.
He reports to Phil Haney, Stanley's executive vice president of marketing and sales.
Wilson will concentrate on sales management throughout the country, and will work closely with Haney, who continues to manage some sales territories directly, including metropolitan New York, the Midwest, and the states of California, Florida and Texas.
While Stanley has had a vice president of sales on occasion, the position has not been filled for some time.
A 30-year industry veteran in manufacturing and retail, Wilson most recently spent 18 years at Lexington Home Brands, where he worked in various sales positions both for case goods and upholstery.
Wilson also has managed and owned a furniture retail business, and was vice president of sales and marketing for the Northern region at Universal.
"We are delighted to have Steve join Stanley's management team," Haney said. "Steve's appointment and assistance will help us maximize efficiency and allow us to achieve a higher profile with all our dealers."
