P.J. Kids opens licensed store

Corpus Christi, Texas — The first Rooms to Dream store, licensed by P.J. Kids, has opened here.
The 10,000-square-foot children's furniture store is co-owned by Carter Green, who also owns an Ashley HomeStore here. About 70% of the mix is from P.J. Kids, which expects to open Rooms to Dream stores where it has limited distribution.
Green said he plans to open "quite a few" of the stores, with the next two likely in Kingsville, Texas, and San Antonio. A licensed P.J. Kids store is set to open later this month in Pennsylvania.
The stores carry kids furniture from crib to college, including a selection from Stanley. Green's store features a real vintage 1942 American La Franc fire engine, a castle, an African-themed jungle vignette and a completely furnished playhouse, which can be purchased in its entirety.
