Carthage, Mo. — Leggett & Platt has integrated its Ornamental Bed, Steel Products and West Coast Steel divisions into its Chicago-based Fashion Bed Group.
Ron Ainsworth, president of Fashion Bed Group, is now responsible for all activities relating to ornamental beds and steel bedding support products on a global basis.
Dick Ralston, senior vice president of sales and marketing, and Al Baudler, vice president of finance, report to Ainsworth. A vice president of operations will be named soon.
"This integration will simplify the relationships we enjoy with our customers, will allow for more focused program development efforts and will improve the level of customer service we can offer," said Terry Bowen, president of Leggett's Consumer Products Unit.
Leggett & Platt's Consumer Products Unit manufactures, sources and markets a broad line of bedding support products, ornamental beds, adjustable beds and coated fabric products to retailers and distributors around the world.
