California sets public hearings this week

San Francisco — The California Bureau of Home Furnishings will hold public hearings this week here and in the Los Angeles area on stringent open-flame mattress flammability standards proposed for the state.
Here is the schedule:

Monday, April 21: Flammability workshop, 1–3 p.m., Edmund G. Brown Building in San Francisco, 505 Van Ness Ave. Suppliers and regulators will be present to answer questions.

Tuesday, April 22: Public hearing, same location, 10 a.m.

Thursday, April 24: Public hearing at 10 a.m. in the South Coast Air Quality Management District offices, 21865 East Copley Drive, Diamond Bar, Calif.

Friday, April 25: Flammability workshop, same location, 10 a.m. to noon.
