Drakeford opens corp. showroom

Mobile, Ala. — Case goods and leather upholstery importer Drakeford Furniture Co. has opened a showroom at its corporate headquarters here.
The 2,000-square-foot space complements Drakeford's 5,000-square-foot High Point showroom, said Billy Curtright, president.
"We only get four weeks of use out of the year in the High Point location," he said. "This will give our accounts in the southern region of the country a chance to see our product year-round."
Drakeford also will use the corporate showroom to introduce new product between High Point shows to get immediate feedback.
"There will be no reason to focus squarely on the spring and fall," Curtright said.
Drakeford, which supplies casual and modern style product at upper-middle price points, also has a regional warehouse near its headquarters.
