White Plains, N.Y. — Trade show producer George Little Management has formed a partnership with Anti Copying in Design, or ACID, to help prevent copyright infringement at GLM shows.
Starting with the Surtex show, which is running concurrently with the International Contemporary Furniture Fair at the Jacob Javits Convention Center here through May 20, ACID will provide exhibitors in GLM-managed events with intellectual property information and legal assistance.
Dids MacDonald, chief executive of ACID, and Jamie Silverberg, director of litigation for the Intellectual Property Group, will present a seminar at Surtex May 19 called "Copyright Infringement: Protecting Your Art and Design."
ACID is a United Kingdom-based member organization committed to fighting copyright theft. Trade show members are offered free legal advice and practical support.
"We believe that through the management and prevention of copyright infringement, designers and manufacturers will be better equipped to protect their intellectual property," said MacDonald.
