Hellenic Rug taps Roan for VP

New York — Steve Roan has been named vice president of Hellenic Rug Imports and will focus on new product development, new distribution channels and strategic planning and implementation.
His extensive experience in the floor covering industry includes over 13 years at Shaw Inds. and senior management posts at rug resources 828 International and Central Oriental.
"Roan's position and responsibilities will complement the recent appointment of Chris Phillips as head of the Hellenic sales force. Roan and Phillips were formerly colleagues at Shaw Rugs," said President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Mazarakis.
Roan will be based in Dalton, Ga., and reports to Mazarakis and Peter Rogakis, chief operating officer of Hellenic.
