Toronto — Industry veteran George Sinclair has joined high-end case goods producer Leda Furniture in the newly created position of executive vice president of sales and marketing for the residential division.
"We are extremely excited about the opportunity to have George on the Leda team," said Marco Confalone, president and chief executive officer. "We have known him for over 20 years and regard him as a foremost authority on the North American furniture industry. We are planning a further expansion of our company and George brings the depth of knowledge and expertise required to manage the growth of our sales effort in Canada and in export markets."
For over two decades, Sinclair served as executive vice president of the Ontario Furniture Manufacturers Assn. and also managed two other trade associations, the Canadian Flexible Foam Manufacturers Assn. and the Furniture Travelers' Assn. of Canada.
After retiring from the OFMA two years ago, Sinclair started his own management consulting firm, specializing in providing furniture industry clients with sales, marketing and business solutions.
