Mulberry, Fla. — W.S. Badcock honored top associate dealers at its semiannual dealer meeting in Lakeland, Fla.
Andy Johnston of MacClenny, Fla., won the President's Cup award, given to the top associate dealer based on sales, receipts, price differences, inventory control and accounts receivables for the first half of fiscal 2003.
The Outstanding Performance award, based on sales receipts, price differences, inventory control and accounts receivables, was given to nine associates: Mark Bryan, Quincy, Fla.; Fred Carpenter, Concord, N.C.; Monica Charles, Lumberton, N.C.; Coleman Davis, Zephyrhills, Fla.; John Dennison, Jacksonville South, Fla.; Joey Dinkins, Laurinburg, N.C.; Henry McCall, Folkston, Ga.; Mable Turman, Pensacola, Fla.; and Chuck Young, St. Augustine, Fla.
The President's Club Single Store Award, recognizing high-volume sales among single stores, was awarded on three levels. The Gold Level went to John Dennison, Jacksonville South, Fla. The Silver Level was given to Coleman Davis, Plant City, Fla.; Mac Morgan, Havana, Fla.; and Chuck Young, St. Augustine, Fla. The Bronze Level was given to Chad Dowling, Sumter, S.C.; and Darrell Rye, Griffin, Ga.
The President's Club Multi-Unit Store Award recognizes high-volume sales among multi-unit stores. At the Platinum Level, award winners were Coleman Davis of Brandon, Plant City, Seffner and Zephyrhills, Fla.; and Darrell Rye of Griffin, Montezuma, Moultrie, Perry and Warner Robins East, Ga.
La-Z-Boy
Monroe, Mich. — La-Z-Boy and its La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries advertising campaign were honored with two Gold Retail Advertising Conference awards from the Retail Advertising and Marketing Assn.
La-Z-Boy was honored in the Specialty Retailer category for the best overall television campaign and the best television image or positioning ad.
The award-winning campaign features a fast-moving series of lifestyle vignettes with fashionable furnishings and fun, confident individuals, tied together by upbeat music.
The Furniture Galleries retail ads are an extension of the La-Z-Boy "New Look of Comfort" campaign, which won a silver EFFIE award in 2002.
