  • Intricate Sino-Persians: Hand-tufted rugs are densely constructed to look just like intricate Persian hand-knotted products, but at a fraction of the cost.

  • Red is Hot, Hot, Hot: From wine to fire engine, who ever knew there were so many interpretations of one color? Some version of red is the No. 1 seller in many lines.

Capel MS 112

Bringing wider access to the art of Navajo weaving with the launching of its Woven Spirits collection. Navajo weavers in Sante Fe, N.M., sign each hand-woven rug, $2,488 for a 42″ by 66″.

Central Oriental SP 3300

  • The Treasures collection is made in India using Tibetan knot construction, in wool with silk accents in four urban contemporary designs, $799.

  • The Infinity collection is a two-million-point, machine-made construction in six colors, of heat-set polypropylene, $449.

  • The Platinum collection is made in Central Oriental's new manufacturing facility in Maine. The space-dyed nylon yarns produce 32 colors in each palette, $399.

  • The Modigliani collection, carrying the Wools of New Zealand brand, is woven with drop-stitch accents, without fringe, $599 for a 5′ by 8′.

  • Adding new designs to the Bellini, Reflections and Images machine-made collections.

Couristan IHFC D-320

  • The Mirage collection is made of power-loomed New Zealand semi-worsted wool pile, cross-woven on Wilton looms for a unique multi-color effect, 25-year warranty, $799 in a 5′7″ by 8′3″.

  • The Confetti collection is Axminster-woven of 100% virgin wool in bright, sprightly contemporary designs, $299 in a 5′6″ by 8′.

  • The Kashimar collection is power loomed of 100% semi-worsted wool pile with hand-knotted fringe, constructed of Couristan's patented Locked-In Weave and proprietary Crystal-Point finish, 25-year warranty, $599 in a 5′5 by 8′3″.

  • The Casual Living collection is hand tufted of 75% imported wool pile and 25% semi-worsted New Zealand wool in a dense thick pile, $385 in a 4′10″ by 7′10″.

  • The Silken Treasures collection is hand-knotted of 80% virgin wool, 20% natural silk, in understated designs featuring subtle colorations and textural interest, $1,342 in a 5′6″ by 8′.

Delos SMS 1-400

Specializing in non-traditional designs, this young company is headed by the husband-wife team of Ivan and Celeste Phillips. Less than a year old, Delos' rugs already have won industry design awards.

  • Moda features striking, large-scale contemporary designs. Wool pile is accented with design detailing in mercerized cotton, hand-tufted in China, $999.

  • Derma brings a new look to the world of shag. Hand-knotted leather strips are swiss-dyed in today's hottest colors. The rugs, made in China, are designed to be conversation pieces in any room, $999.

  • In addition to the exclusive Delos American styles, the company has U.S. distribution rights for European-designed Brink & Campman products.

828 International Radisson Hotel

Entering the licensing arena with a new group of products by Joe O'Brien, better known as Cabana Joe. In the Cabana Joe Maui collection, O'Brien's designs blend island influences with the relaxed elegance of comfortable living. Rugs are hand-hooked of New Zealand wool in soft, cut-and-loop textures, $399 for a 5′ by 8′.

Feizy MS 143

Celebrating its 30th anniversary at market, the importer is introducing a large group of rugs covering the entire price spectrum.

  • The Chateau d'Este collection expresses the tradition of ornate European architecture and interiors of the 18th and 19th centuries, machine-woven in Turkey, $298 in a 5′ by 8′.

  • The Merlot collection is based on Persian rug-making traditions. Intricate patterns, brilliant colors, and luxurious textures are interpreted in machine-woven construction, wool-blend pile, made in Turkey, $260 in a 5′ by 8′.

  • The Vision collection is a group of contemporary designs hand-tufted in pure wool pile, made in India, $250 in a 5′ by 8′.

  • The Sophia collection is inspired by museum-quality rugs in classic Oriental rug designs, hand-knotted of wool and silk in a vibrant palette, $2,999.

  • The Melborne collection blends the multiple cultural influences of Persian designs, hand-loomed in pure wool then hand-washed for a subtle antique shading and luster, $2,800.

  • The Sonora collection is inspired by sophisticated natural fiber looks, hanloomed in India of pure jute in designs that combine texture with geometric patterns, $199 in a 5′ by 8′.

Foreign Accents SMS G-105

This specialist in high-style contemporary is introducing several designs reminiscent of the hard-edge art forms of the 1950s and '60s.

  • The Retro collection is made in China of 100% wool; a combination of loop and cut pile gives textural interest, $399 in a 5′3″ by 7′7″.

  • The Festival is made in China of 100% modacrylic, with a ¾-inch thick cut pile face, $399 in a 5′3″ by 7′7″.

Fun Rugs SP 3329

Introducing an Educational collection, interactive activity rugs made of durable nylon pile with hand-carved detailing. Travel Fun is a colorful design of states, road maps and sailboats. Kids World Map makes geography easy for parents as well as kids. Both designs, $170 in a 5 by 8.

Harounian IHFC D-309

  • The Oasis collection continues the company's tradition in recreating Persian designs from the classical period. The Hadji-Jalili patterns are available in contemporary color palettes, $3,239.

  • The Royal collection features traditional Lavar Kerman and Kashan design concepts, handmade in India utilizing fine denier wool with a silk-like look and feel, $3,250.

  • The Majestic collection gives an updated look to traditional antique reproduction designs, $2,375.

  • The Angora collection is hand- knotted in Pakistan using authentic Angora wool and reproduces the look of Egyptian rugs, $2,375.

Hellenic MS M57

  • Known for its Greek and Indian imported rugs, the company has an exclusive agreement with a Belgian manufacturer for both scatter and area rugs. The polypropylene rugs are machine-made of Wilton construction. The initial presentation includes four collections with guaranteed delivery in 90 days. The eight-color polypropylene rugs are made in dense, 700,000—point construction, with designs covering a range of French, contemporary, traditional and transitional styles in American colorways, $99 in a 5′ by 8′.

  • The Tribal collection is hand-knotted in India using a weave similar to the Indo Gabeh construction, $499 in a 5′6″ by 8′.

  • The Andros collection is inspired by the art and architecture of the Greek island of Andros. Made of 100% worsted Argentinean wool, these rugs are hand-knotted with a 7/18 Nepalese knot, $399 in a 5′ by 8′.

  • The Elite Silk collection by Kathy Huriaud is a transitional design using New Zealand wool and natural silk to form a tone-on-tone rug with two natural elements, hand tufted, $499 in a 5′ by 8″.

  • The Retro Denim collection is inspired by the bright, lively denim colors of basic dungarees, shiny chrome, Formica countertops and psychedelic patterns, hand-tufted, made of a blend of New Zealand and Argentinean wool, $399 in a 5′ by 8′.

Jaipur SMS 1-400

  • Transitions consists of three understated designs using subtle tone-on-tone pallettes. The rugs use handspun yarns and vegetable dyes to achieve gradations of color in stripe, block and border looks, $995.

  • Atlantis is engineered to address the midpriced market for hand-made, transitional designs, $1,299.

  • Updating Royale and other collections with a new color palette.

Karastan MS 120

  • Celebrating its 75th anniversary with the New Classics collection, a series that subtly updates several best-selling patterns with a contemporary sensibility. While all New Classics designs have traditional Oriental motifs, they have been slightly modified in such ways as more open fields and updated color palettes. They are woven in Eden, N.C., of worsted New Zealand wool, $799 in a 5′7″ by 7′11″.

  • Adding two patterns to the Casual Concepts line. Fabricated from loop pile New Zealand wool broadloom, Manchester Plaid features a tailored graphic plaid motif, $499 in a 5′8″ by 8′11″. Metropolitan is a short textured shag, $399 in a 5′ by 8′.

  • Karastan Accents is an assortment of wool accent rugs that include scatters, rounds and runners, $199 in a 2′ by 4′.

Kas IHFC D-301

  • The Platinum Series is machine-made in Belgium in traditional designs. The 1.5-million-point construction features crisply detailed pattern definition, of 100% heat-set polypropylene, $399.

  • The Newbury Series is a machine-made collection featuring transitional and contemporary designs at affordable price points, made in Belgium on 10-color looms of heat-set polypropylene fiber, $299.

  • Adding to the Emerald collection, hand-tufted in China of 100% wool.

Lamontage MS 125

Introducing rugs designed by Liora Manne using the patented Lamontage hand-felting production method, handmade in New York City of 100% acrylic, $1,500 for a 5′6″ by 8′6″.

Master Craft MS 123

Celebrating its ninth anniversary with two collections that round out its good, better, much better and best product categories.

  • Satin covers the good niche, Wilton-woven of heat-set polypropylene in 1.2- million-point construction, serging of New Zealand wool, $539 in a 5′.7″ by 7′11″.

  • Severn Manor is an Axminster woven line in the much better category, in traditional Oriental designs reproducing the look and hand of antique Persian rugs, $1,299.

Momeni IHFC D-308

Three new hand-tufted collections and a large group of one-of-a-kind hand-knotted rugs will be featured in a newly expanded showroom.

  • Cashmere is a plush, finely detailed Chinese tufted collection in traditional designs and colors, $499.

  • Champagne is a fine-density 11/11 wool with silk accents, tufted in China in intricate Persian designs, $999.

  • Lama is 100% New Zealand wool, tufted in India in contemporary and transitional designs, $499.

  • One-of-a-kind hand-knotted offerings include the Green Mountain collection of fine vegetable dyed, hand-spun Gabbehs in a variety of colorful designs and qualities; rare Qashqai nomadic rugs from the Fars region; Herize, Malayer, Balouch, Bijar, Tabriz and Hamadan qualities.

  • A large, fresh assortment of decorative Chobi rugs from Pakistan.

Nourison MS 190

  • The Somerset collection is a group of 24 designs made of the proprietary Opulon polypropylene fiber which has a wool-like look and feel, aimed at the entry-level price point of $199.

  • Chateau Provence is based on classic 18th-century French designs, hand-tufted of wool with accents of silk and featuring intricately detailed patterns.

  • Continues to expand its broadloom and roll runner program with two new collections, Ashton House and Hamilton House. Adding field-and-border combinations and runner designs to its Grand Parterre collection, introduced last year. The broadloom designs coordinate with area rugs in traditional Persian and European design motifs. The luxury broadloom is geared to the design trade, at about $100 per square yard.

  • Adding designs to Nourison 2000, Nourmak and Valenncierre collections, $1,000.

Oriental Weavers USA IHFC D-319

  • Florent is a large collection dedicated to Paul D'huyvetter, OWA's executive vice president, who died last fall. Made of 100% nylon, the cross-woven rugs are named for cities in D'huyvetter's native Belgium, $299.

  • The Dunes collection features the look of natural fibers in a combination of jute and polypropylene. The warp and weft yarns create an interesting textural effect in casual contemporary designs, $89.

  • The Supremacy collection is constructed on 10-color looms using a cross-woven technique to produce the look of 30 colors, woven of densely constructed heat-set olefin with a plush pile, in 20 designs, $299.

  • A new collection under the Raymond Waites licensing umbrella.

The Rug Market SAMS M-460

After many years in the IHFC building, The Rug Market is moving to Market Square and displaying for the first time with the Christian Mosso rep group.

  • Introducing its initial designs under the Shabby Chic by Rachel Ashwell license. Petit point hand-hooked cotton construction, $299 in a 5′3″ by 8′3″.

  • Two tropical designs are hand stenciled on jute. Bamboo Garden is a tropical foliage design bordered by thick reeds of bamboo on a subtle beige background. Tropical Pineapple features a lush pineapple placed in a lattice of tropical leaves, hand stenciled on jute, $299 in a 5′ by 8′3″.

  • Tea Time is a country design incorporating an intricately detailed border of vintage-style teapots on a soft beige center field, hand-hooked petit point construction of 100% wool, $299 in a 5′3″ by 8′3″.

  • Tea Cup runner resembles stacked tea cups of classic blue and white china, hand-hooked in petit point wool, $100 in a 2′3″ by 6′.

Shaw Rugs MS 204

  • Debuting a large Kathy Ireland Gallery collection, representing a step-up quality for its highly successful Kathy Ireland licensed rug collections. The new line is made with a proprietary polypropylene soft yarn called Comfort-Touch. The 22 10-color designs represent traditional and transitional styling, $349 in a 5′ by 8′.

  • Heirlooms is a new wool collection of seven rugs based on museum-referenced designs. The styling includes Garden Baktiari, a 17th-century panel design; Royal Kashan, based on an ancient Persian vine and floral pattern; and Golden Tabriz, a highly detailed formal design from Persia's golden age. All Wilton woven, $800 in a 5′5″ by 7′9″.

  • An addition to the Nourison licensed collection is Fereghan, which combines elements of both French and Persian styling traditions, Wilton woven in nylon.

Sphinx by Oriental Weavers IHFC D-312

  • The Ancient Persia collection replicates classic Persian rug designs in traditionally vibrant colors, Wilton woven in 2-million-point construction to achieve the intricate detailing of the original museum pieces, of 100% heat-set, stain-resistant polypropylene fiber, $299 in a 5′ by 8′.

  • The Yorkshire collection is influenced by the designs of English country homes and estates, machine-made of 100% wool, hand-carved for textural interest, $299 in a 5′3″ by 7′9″.

  • Updating the machine-made Patina collection with a jewel-toned color palette, made of New Zealand wool, $799.

  • The Cottage collection has a casual textured effect achieved by combining hand-tufting and hook constructions. Designs rage from florals to contemporary geometrics, made in China of 100% wool, $499.

New product emphasizes popular price points, but the company isn't abandoning its roots in the hand-knotted category.

  • Canyon is made of 100% vinyl and has the cool, casual look of woven leather, $199 in a 4′10″ by 7′10″.

  • Morellino is machine-woven of 50% viscose, 50% polypropylene for a silky look, made in Belgium in traditional Oriental and European styling, $299 in a 4′10″ by 7′10″.

  • Mesa is hand-tufted in India of 100% wool pile, with designs inspired by the American West, $299 in a 4′10″ by 7′10″.
