Shaak is Hickory White sales VP
Powell Slaughter -- Furniture Today, March 16, 2003
Hickory, N.C. — Bob Shaak has joined high-end manufacturer and importer Hickory White as vice president of sales and marketing.
He fills the position left vacant by Richard Graves, who left the company. Shaak reports to Randy Austin, president of Hickory White.
Shaak came to the company from Thomasville, where he served most recently as vice president and general sales manager. Before that, he was Northern regional sales manager at Thomasville.
Prior to joining Thomasville in 1997, Shaak was vice president of sales at Lexington, where he worked for 20 years.
While Shaak reports to Austin, his move to Hickory White also reunites him with a longtime colleague, Jim Adams, who joined Hickory White's parent company, Sherrill Furniture, as chief executive officer of the company's wood furniture divisions.
Adams came to Sherrill after 29 years at Thomasville, which he left last year and where he most recently was senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Thomasville's Retail Division.
In addition to Hickory White, Sherrill Furniture owns Theodore Alexander North America and CTH-Sherrill Occasional.
