Four new flat-pack collections include two transitional styles, one in a light maple finish and the other in a medium walnut; a French Country design in medium walnut; and a Euro contemporary design with four pieces featuring unique construction and design. The company's focus is on entertainment, bedroom and office.

Furniture to accommodate flat panel and projection TVs will be center stage here, with new products ranging from contemporary chrome-and-glass looks to traditional styles.

With minimalist lines of silvery metal, the Millennium video base accommodates a freestanding flat panel TV, or suspends it on a matching hutch. Featuring a sleek curved front, tempered glass shelves and an open back for easy cord access, the video base with hutch retails for $299.

Accommodating flat panels up to 50 inches, or standard TVs up to 36 inches, the Edgewood video base provides an exceptional amount of storage for audio equipment, DVD players, games and accessories. Flat panels can be suspended on the matching hutch, sold separately. Finished in cognac maple, the video base features adjustable shelves, tempered glass doors and drawers for concealed storage. It is priced at $299 retail; a matching hutch is $99.

In its Contours collection, Bush will introduce an elegant new PTV wall system, also finished in cognac maple. A gracefully curving bridge adjusts to accommodate PTVs up to 65 inches. Piers, with curved glass doors, glass shelves and recessed curio lighting, echo the soft curves of the bridge. The three-piece system is priced at $499 retail.

Adding a corner entertainment center to its Apex collection in solid Canadian lodgepole pine. Designed as a two-piece unit, the deck features a single glass door and CD/videotape storage while the hutch features an extra shelf for a DVD or VCR.

Big Sur is a line of entertainment centers designed for widescreen plasma, LED and conventional televisions, each capable of accommodating very wide and very heavy sets as well as four to eight additional electronic components. Storage space for tapes and disks also is offered. The textured paint finish is scratch- and chip-resistant, requiring virtually no care. The Big Sur collection does not use glass shelves, responding to consumer concerns about safety. The pieces will retail from $149 to $199.

Offering high-style contemporary at affordable prices, Club 8 is introducing Inbound, a comprehensive collection for the bedroom and dining room that also includes entertainment pieces. The structured lacquer finish over medium-density fiberboard gives the look of veneer at a fraction of the price.

Among the additions to the recently launched Endura line are two molded folding chairs and four molded folding tables in graduated sizes. The new Endura chairs feature tubular steel frames, fully molded lightweight contoured seats and backs, non-marring leg tips and a durable Opti-bond powdercoat finish, with retail prices from $14.99 to $19.99. The tables feature easy-to-use folding mechanisms, usable leg room on the ends of the 5- by 6-foot tables, rigid top surface, rubber molded leg caps and convenient gripper edges for easy portability. Priced from $32.99 to $49.99.

The Wave bookcase is a series of concave and convex cases, with cherry veneer, that combine to create a wave.
Euro Style C&D 8A
The Hillary chair is both functional and fun. Part of the company's alliance with the Italian manufacturer Stilloffice, the heavy-duty construction is designed for comfort as well as visual interest. The seat and back are laminated beech, padded with fire-resistant polyurethane foam and covered in designer fabrics. Hillary has a gas lift for easy adjusting and a polished aluminum coated steel base on castors for mobility, $149 retail.

Also new, the Grace dining and occasional chair in leather has a contoured shape. Soft leather with a sturdy chrome frame. Easy assembly.

Youth bedroom and storage are in the spotlight. For kids, the company has a new Spider car-bed available in two colors at $1,365 retail. Also new, the Sonic bedroom has 16 pieces in contemporary style with a light French maple finish and metallic gray accents, with four pieces retailing for $1,549. The Lazer Blue kids bedroom has 14 pieces in contemporary silver metallic gray and pastel blue, four pieces $1,349. Expanding the 3-D Compact Bedroom, the company has added a dresser, bed and mirror. For closets, the company has developed Oxygene, a modular storage system that can be configured in countless ways.
Madellegno Moveis Showplace 4240
A Brazilian producer, Madellegno is introducing the Memphis home entertainment center for televisions up to 60 inches and with storage for additional components. Available in mahogany, maple and alder colors, this unit will retail for $171. Memphis' surfaces are finished via a laser-designed "roller paint system" that is used in production of all Madellegno furniture, giving the feel of natural wood. Also new is a larger home theater unit in colors of mahogany, ivory, alder and maple priced at $339 retail.
O'Sullivan 220 Elm, 120
Introducing Coleman Furniture for Your Garage, a step-up storage solution. As part of a licensing agreement with The Coleman Co., O'Sullivan has developed a line of rugged cabinets and other storage pieces for gear, tools and other equipment. The line provides modular flexibility of design and layout, strong steel drawer sides, durable Work Shield laminate finishes, innovative wall mounting systems, and user-friendly features such as task lighting and power access.
Sauder 220 Elm, 218
Sauder is making three major introductions at this market, focusing on entertainment, bedroom and a new furniture category, craft centers.

The new Entertainment Solutions collection was created to address the complications that can arise when trying to mesh entertainment components with home decor. A new media wall accommodates a hanging flat panel television and includes hidden cord management, as well as accessory storage, while new entertainment credenzas and entertainment centers easily fit larger 40-inch televisions. Contemporary finishes, inlaid designs and sliding doors add a touch of European styling to the collection of veneered items. Sauder also is adding new entertainment pieces for large-size televisions and components in some of its other best-selling collections, including Harbor View, Willow Falls and Lockport.

For home crafts, Sauder has observed that more and more people are pursuing old-fashioned diversions such as scrapbooking, needlepoint and sewing. The new Craft Centers collection addresses this trend with a variety of sizes, price points and finishes. The highlight of this collection is a five-piece work center that offers something for every craft connoisseur. Pieces can be added separately, making the work center fully customizable and adaptable to any activity or space constraints.

In the bedroom, Sauder is adding several pieces to Harbor View and Willow Falls. Complete bedroom sets, including solid-wood headboards, footboards and bed rails in twin and full queen size will be shown in both collections, as well as nightstands, armoires and dressers. The Harbor View collection features country casual styling, while Willow Falls creates a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with its rich finish and reed motifs.

Introducing The Bug student furniture group. Pieces include a tower computer workstation for corner or midroom placement priced at $79 to $99. Accommodates a CPU, monitor, keyboard, printer and speakers in a small footprint. Group also features a three-tier bookcase priced at $59 to $79 retail. Pieces are made of rugged steel tube and laminate with floor levelers and metal mesh privacy panels for additional stability. Offered in lime green/spatter gray, orange/spatter gray and purple/spatter gray finishes.
Tvilum-Scanbirk 220 Elm, 330
Introductions include an office collection, more pieces for the Jubee youth collection and another grouping for youth or adult bedrooms.

The Prima collection is a complete home office, including storage, in beech, cherry and maple melamine. Desks are available with panel sides or steel legs. The hutches have hinged doors, and the file cabinets come with metal runners on drawers and bookcases. Other features include finished backs and metal handles. There are levelers on all desks and bookcases as well as a wire management system.

The Jubee collection introduced last fall is expanding with five new pieces. Cubic is another new bedroom group for youth or adult.
