Mitchell Gold names Bishop vice president

Taylorsville, N.C. — Upholstery producer Mitchell Gold Co. has promoted Mark Bishop to vice president of operations, with responsibility for administration, purchasing, scheduling and information technology departments.
Bishop, who reports to Mitchell Gold, president and chief executive officer, has been director of process improvement, overseeing scheduling and IT departments, since May 2001. He joined the company in 1999 as the master scheduler, in charge of scheduling.
"Mark is truly an expert when it comes to designing and managing production processes of all kinds," said Gold. "He blends great people skills with a tremendous depth of experience in many phases of his new position with us."
Bishop joins Bob Williams, John Bounous and Mike Pennell as vice presidents at the company.
