Sleepy's deploys Agentek fleet management system

Bethpage, N.Y. — Sleepy's, the largest mattress retailer in the Northeast with more than 250 stores, has deployed a fully integrated fleet management system using Atlanta-based Agentek's AgentDelivery and AgentManager mobile and server software.
The Agentek Air Traffic Control module provides real-time visibility to the entire Sleepy's enterprise, including stores, back office and dispatch operations.
E-mails are delivered in seconds to each store to notify them of any product delivery issues so the staff can provide proactive customer service. Drivers capture electronic signatures and credit card authorization, using handheld computers from Symbol Technologies and submitted wirelessly back to Sleepy's.
With the Agentek application, the driver can use the handheld unit for editing of the electronic delivery receipt, collection of payments and adjustment of inventory items. A receipt prints out for the customer, and the unit sends full delivery information and signature files wirelessly to Sleepy's host system.
