Toronto — Marco Confalone has been named president and chief operating officer of case goods maker Leda Furniture.
Sergio Confalone, his brother, was appointed vice president, responsible for manufacturing, engineering and purchasing as well as the contract furniture division.
Lino Confalone, the father, who founded the family-owned manufacturer of high-end bedroom, dining room and occasional furniture 35 years ago, will stay on as chief executive officer. He will be active in product development and manufacturing.
"In order to meet the vast opportunities and challenges of globalization, we soon will add senior marketing and sales management talent to the Leda team," Marco Confalone said.
Marco previously focused on sales, administration and senior management, while Sergio has been involved in engineering, production management and health and safety issues.
