Leggett & Platt

Carthage, Mo. — Richard Fisher has been named presiding director for supplier Leggett & Platt's board of directors. He will act as chair at executive seesions of non-management directors.

Household International

Prospect Heights, Ill. — Valerie Greer has been appointed senior vice president of business development for the Household Retail Services business unit.

Greer joined Household in 1988 as an account executive. Since then, she has been promoted to a number of other posts. In 2000, she joined the private-label credit card unit as assistant vice president.

Clear Thinking Group

Hillsborough, N.J. — Amir Zfira and Beth DiClemente have joined consultants Clear Thinking Group as senior consultant and financial analyst, respectively.

Zfira brings more than nine years experience in business strategy analysis, financial modeling and development of capital strategies for business. Most recently, he was an independent consultant. He also was a vice president for Capitalink and Avalon Group.

DiClemente has 10 years corporate-level experience in finance and accounting. She has spent more of her career at Prudential Insurance Co.

High Point — Jackie Hirschhaut, vice president of public relations for the American Furniture Manufacturers Assn., has completed a weeklong professional development program with the Institute for Organization Management at the University of Arizona at Tucson.
