Kaiser, Jahze end link, drop Maison line

Charlotte, N.C. — Design company Mary Kaiser Ltd. and upholstery producer Jahze Home Fashions have ended their association and discontinued Mary Kaiser's Maison furniture collections.
Designer Mary Kaiser and Jahze President Jonathan Ostrow said the two-and-a-half-year association ended because of "philosophical differences."
The Maison line of accessories and upholstery was sold in high-end stores, boutiques and through designers, and in Neiman Marcus and Horchow catalogs.
Kaiser said her company has been reorganized and will debut a line of fashion and home accessories in the fall that will include high-end handbags, accessories and smaller upholstery pieces — corner chairs, chaises and ottomans.
She is opening her own store in Charlotte, and also will sell through showrooms in New York and possibly High Point. The line will feature home goods and apparel in Kaiser's signature soft color palette.
Charlotte-based Jahze, pronounced like "jazz," makes upper-end upholstery and accessories and shows in New York, Atlanta and in High Point at 117 East Green Drive.
