Corrections & Amplifications
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 23, 2003
David McIlquham, Sealy's president and chief executive officer, misstated Spring Air's market share position in his letter to the editor ("Sealy has boosted market share," Feb. 17, page 89). McIlquham compared Spring Air numbers in Furniture/Today's 1998 and 2001 market share reports. The 2001 report employed a new methodology and noted that non-audited numbers, which included those from Spring Air and six other producers, "cannot be compared to numbers in previous bedding market share reports."
