France Berlic, furniture designer
Lake Worth, Fla. — Furniture designer France Berlic has died. He was 89.
Berlic studied architecture at the Academy for Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria.
After moving to this country, he designed furniture for a variety of furniture manufacturers and was awarded several patents.
He is survived by his wife, two children and one grandchild.

Siegfried Schreiner, bedding industry supplier
Cologne, Germany — Longtime bedding industry supplier Siegfried Schreiner, chairman and president of Germany-based CT Continental Ticking and an executive in related companies, has died.
"Siegfried was truly an invaluable member of the international bedding community," said John Bauman, executive vice president of Continental Ticking Corp. of America, a CT company. "During his lifetime, he established bedding-related companies around the world, including CT USA Corp., Continental de Textiles in Mexico, Continental Ticking Ltd. in Jamaica, and CT Greece Ltd. Siegfried had representatives or agencies in 58 countries around the globe."
His father founded the company in 1928 and Schreiner joined it in 1949. He spent more than five decades producing and dealing in products including spring machines, foam, mattress ticking, injection-molded plastic, software, tape and webbing.
He was a co-founder of Interzum, the home furnishings manufacturing trade show, and was an Interzum board member for more than 40 years. He also co-founded the World Bedding Conference.
In 2000, he was the first recipient of the International Sleep Products Assn. Award for his contributions toward creating an alternating schedule for Interzum and ISPA shows.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Rudolf, Klaus and Georg Schreiner, all active in the family businesses; and five grandsons.
