Harden taps Oughterson
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 16, 2003
McConnellsville, N.Y. — Mary Oughterson has been promoted to the new post of vice president of marketing for high-end case goods and upholstery manufacturer Harden Furniture. She was director of marketing.
The move reflects Harden's focus on building its brand nationally and positioning itself as an American manufacturer. While the company imports some product, domestic goods account for the great majority of its mix.
Oughterson will be responsible for all aspects of marketing, advertising and public relations for Harden's residential and contract divisions. She joined Harden six years ago.
She is a board member of the American Furniture Manufacturers Assn.'s marketing division and a member of the AFMA public relations council.
