Hickory, N.C. — A developer is constructing a $6.5 million furniture mall here to house factory outlet stores for Bernhardt, Broyhill and Kincaid.
All three have space in the smaller Lenoir Mall, which they will vacate when the new facility opens.
The 100,000-square-foot, single-level facility is expected to open in May, with a 30-foot-tall facade and 120 parking places.
Forty-two thousand square feet will be devoted to Broyhill, 32,000 square feet to Bernhardt, and 25,000 square feet to Kincaid.
The mall, at U.S. 321 and Alex Lee Boulevard, is being developed by Ashley Brooke Property Group, which has other area business park facilities.
