Symbol buys Midwest plant

Richmond, Va. — Bedding producer Symbol Mattress has strengthened its position in the Midwest by purchasing the assets of Simply Bedding, a regional manufacturer based in Fort Wayne, Ind.
The plant, Symbol's seventh, gives the company additional production capacity and more timely service for shipments to Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.
