By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 2, 2003

Bill Child of retailer R.C. Willey and Kurt Darrow of La-Z-Boy will be honored as this year's recipients of the Anti-Defamation League's American Heritage Award.

They will be recognized at the ADL National Interior Furnishings & Design Division's annual dinner dance June 11 at the New York Hilton.

Child, chairman of the Salt Lake City-based retailer, and Darrow, president of La-Z-Boy's residential division, will be honored for their civic commitment and involvement in the industry, including encouraging diversity in their companies.

Industry chairs for this year's American Heritage Award campaign are Norman Waxman of Schnadig, Fred Friedman of retailer Carls, Boca Raton, Fla., and Fred Berk of retailer Robb & Stucky, Fort Myers, Fla.

For information, contact the ADL's Judy Goldsmith in New York at (212) 885-7857.
