Barrow Inds.
Norwood, Mass. — Fabric converter Barrow Inds. has made several changes in its Merrimac Textile sales staff.
Mitchell Bell has been hired to manage the Tupelo, Miss., territory. He formerly was associated with Mastercraft Fabrics in that area.
In North Carolina, Chip Finneran joins Claire Batts to cover that territory. Finneran had represented Cone Jacquards in the state.
Bell, Finneran and Batts report to Michael Rice, executive vice president of Barrow.
In addition, Bill Fish has been promoted to vice president and national sales manager, focusing on national and home fashions accounts. He also reports to Rice.
Dan O'Shea moves from vice president of export to vice president of retail sales, concentrating on the retail fabric business. He reports to Fish.
John Duggan, previously manager of Barrow's Canton Sample Division, becomes manager of the cut-and-sew business for home fashions. He reports to Rice.
Brown Jordan International
Pompano Beach, Fla. — Jay Franks has joined casual and contract furniture resource Brown Jordan International as senior designer, reporting to Mark Gorr, executive vice president of marketing and product development.
Franks was a Meadowcraft/Plantation Patterns designer and product development manager.
Also, Roger Williams has been named team leader of the Bentonville, Ark., national accounts team. He was Wal-Mart national accounts manager for Springs Inds., and reports to Chris Carmicle, vice president national accounts.
Several new sales directors for national accounts have been named. They include Pat Isaacs, who transfers from BJI's marketing department; Todd Langenhorst, promoted from account manager; and David Phillips, formerly Meadowcraft/Plantation Patterns national sales manager.
JRM Sales & Management
Kennesaw, Ga. — Jonathan Frey has joined home furnishings retailing consultants JRM Sales & Management as an account manager and corporate trainer.
Frey has more than 32 years experience in home furnishings. He began his retail career at Sears, Roebuck and Co. and has been a home furnishings representative, vice president of Guardsman Products and corporate recruiter for Krause's Furniture.
Serta
Itasca, Ill. — Dan White has been named a national account coordinator at bedding producer Serta.
He will help coordinate sales activities for a variety of national accounts, and reports to Mark Quinn, vice president of national accounts.
White previously was an account manager for Quill Corp.
Creative Woodwork Intl.
Minneapolis — Creative Woodwork International, an importer of wood outdoor furniture from Vietnam, has named Victoria Winslow & Co. of San Francisco as its sales representative for northern California.

Clinton, S.C. — The South Carolina Merchants Assn. has elected Jeff Richards chairman of the board. He has been a member of the association for eight years and has been a board member for the past three years.
Richards owns and operates the Badcock Home Furnishings Center store in Clinton.
