Hickory, N.C. — Industry veteran Jim Adams has joined Sherrill Furniture as chief executive officer of the full-line manufacturer and importer's wood furniture divisions.
He will coordinate operations and build market share for the wood segment, which includes Hickory White, CTH-Sherrill Occasional and Theodore Alexander North America.
He reports to President Buddy Sherrill.
Most recently, Adams was senior vice president at Thomasville, where he also was chief marketing officer for the Retail Division. Before leaving Thomasville last year after 29 years with the company, he was instrumental in the growth of its dedicated store program and the development of the Ernest Hemingway Collection.
"We look forward to Jim's immediate and long-term contributions to our wood divisions and Sherrill as a whole," Sherrill said.
