Karel plans to expand in Long Beach

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 19, 2003

Karel Exposition Management will expand its show here in November, adding a third hall and another 200 exhibitors.

"We had a tremendous response last year, so we're setting the stage for a larger 2003 Long Beach Furniture and Accessory Market," said Larry Karel, president of the regional trade show producer.

He said the trade-only show, already billed as the largest of its kind in Southern California, will grow to three halls and 1,000 exhibitors. The event is set for Nov. 23–25 in the Long Beach Convention Center.

Karel said the company is coming off one of the best years in its 50-year history, with waiting lists for many upcoming markets. The Florida-based company produces shows in Tampa and Orlando, Fla., Edison, N.J., Fitchburg, Mass., Las Vegas and Long Beach.

Information on the shows is available on the Web at www.kemexpo.com or by calling (305) 792-9990.
