Sam Levine, casual furniture sales rep
Dallas — Retired casual furniture sales representative Sam Levine has died. He was 82.
Levine joined the casual furniture industry in 1954 and was one of the first tenants of the Dallas Market Center. During his career, he represented such manufactures as Alumont, California Umbrella, Gold Medal and Grosfillex. He retired in 1992.
Levine is survived by a daughter, a son and two grandsons. His daughter and son-in-law, Deni and Earl Dennis, operate casual furniture representative agency Dennis Sales Associates in Dallas. One grandson, Andy Hamilton, is a member of the Dennis Sales Associates team.
Steve Baizer, Dynasty Furniture sales rep
Chicago — Steve Baizer, a sales representative for Calagary, Alberta-based manufacturer Dynasty Furniture, has died.
He covered a large territory for Dynasty, and his clients included such U.S. furniture retailers as Bay Furniture, Bernie & Phyl's, Conlin's, Evans, The RoomStore, R.C. Willey and Fisher Home Furnishings.
Joseph Clerico, 18-year Baer's worker, manager
Norristown, Pa. — Joseph Clerico, manager of Baer's Home Furnishings here and a store employee for 18 years, died as the result of an accident. He was 33.
He began working at the store at age 15 and had done everything from buying and selling to making deliveries. He is survived by his parents, two sisters and a daughter.
Jeff Nelson, Midwest rep
Waterville, Minn. — Jeff Nelson, a manufacturers' representative in the upper Midwest for Bruards, Oregon Rustics and other lines, has died. He was 46.
He began his furniture career in the mid-1970s in retail but soon decided to follow in the footsteps of his father, retired rep John Nelson.
Jeff Nelson is survived by his father, a sister and two brothers, including Bill Nelson, owner of Rivertown Furniture & Carpet, St. Croix Falls, Wis.
