DMI expands Wynwood

Louisville, Ky. — Manufacturer DMI Furniture is folding its DMI Desk Co. products into its Wynwood brand under a newly named Wynwood Furniture Co. division.
"The acceptance of the Wynwood brand name both by the consumer and the company's retail partners, and the opportunity to expand the distribution base of all our products, makes the decision an easy one," said Don Dreher, DMI president and chief executive officer.
Andrew Gillies remains president and chief operating officer of Wynwood, a post he's held since DMI launched Wynwood in 1997. Michael McCollum, previously vice president of sales for Wynwood, has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager of the division. Marc Abrams has been promoted to vice president of sales for Wynwood.
The expanded Wynwood will debut at the April High Point market in a new showroom on the top floor of the Plaza Suites building. DMI's other divisions are DMI Office Furniture and Home Styles.
