Laslo to design line for Ferguson Copeland

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 12, 2003

Larry Laslo will design a furniture collection for Ferguson Copeland to be launched at High Point in April, marking the high-end traditional furniture source's first move into contemporary.

The collection of about 50 pieces will include dining room, living room, bedroom, occasional and entertainment pieces with an emphasis on case goods.

"I am very pleased that our company's first venture into contemporary furniture is in association with Larry Laslo, whose work I have long admired," said Darrell Ferguson, president and chief executive officer of Ferguson Copeland.

Laslo said he will continue his longstanding relationship with Directional for upholstery and occasional. He said he has long sought to collaborate with Ferguson on a complete contemporary group, and has researched and created designs over the past two years to achieve a unique statement through silhouettes, materials and finishes.
