WHFA plans to 'Tame the Beasts'

Roseville, Calif. — The Western Home Furnishings Assn. is addressing the theme of "Tame the Beasts" at its 43rd annual Managerial Conference & Tradeshow.
The event will be held May 18–20 at the Catamaran Resort Hotel in San Diego.
Keynote speakers include retail consultants George Whalin and Lorna Riley. Whalin's topic is "Retail Success: Increase Sales, Maximize Profits and Wow Your Customers." Riley, president of the American Training Assn., will discuss "Quest for Your Best: Achieving Excellence in Chaos and Change."
Other topics include "Defeating the Competition: A Panel Discussion with Winning Retailers;" "Stop, Look, Touch and Buy: The Power of Merchandising;" "How to Master the Art of Training and Motivating Your Sales Staff;" "The Three Most Powerful Marketing Strategies for Your Business;" "Off The Charts Customer Service" and "Best Practices Networking Session."
